Kindergarten to Grade 12 Educational Option
Anchor Academy’s mission is to “train boys and girls to love and serve Jesus Christ”, but we want to go further and encourage every student to become a leader in whatever area God directs them. Therefore, we strive to create the best education for every student within a Christian world view. Anchor Academy is a non-denominational Christian school with Bible-based curriculum. We have been providing home education for over 30 years (1986).
Proverbs 22:6 states, “Train up a child in the way he should go: even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
The importance of reinforcing Christian beliefs and attitudes in children is paramount to encouraging them to continue in their Christian walk as adults. We are blessed to partner with our families to provide an education conducive to godly principles.
Parents may choose homeschooling options in either:
Distributed Learning Program for BC residents, (fully funded, supervised by a certified Christian teacher)
The International Program, using A.C.E. curriculum, open to families in BC and abroad with limited funding, (may be funded by your home province)
BC Homeschool Registered (Independent) Program (no teacher support, but access to our school library and online resources).
Whichever option you choose, we are committed to providing top quality education with a personal touch so students can excel to the best of their abilities. For our students with learning challenges, we have a dedicated Special Education Department with cutting edge technology and educational programs.
Our main focus at Anchor Academy is to encourage students to grow in their walk with God. A number of in-depth board authorized high school courses designed to help grow students in their understanding of the Lord Jesus Christ are available.
Students are also encouraged to memorize Scripture and are rewarded through prizes (or credits towards a school mission’s trip). Each year we have a mission’s trip to Kenya and to Kona, Hawaii. Students are able to take one of three short term mission courses for high school credit.
The Anchor staff are all committed Christians and are dedicated to providing the best educational experience for all the families and students they serve!
Asian Outreach (AO) is a Christian organization that has been empowering and transforming the lives of families in needy communities across Asia for more than 40 years. AO works with local partners to bring holistic and sustainable development to the most vulnerable areas.
We focus on the training and support of national workers – as they are best equipped to affect change within their own communities. Our programs include assisting children to school, water and sanitation, agriculture training, health and education, micro-enterprise and other practical programs to raise the quality of life and address extreme poverty. Every person deserves to hear the Good News and a message of hope.
We are always looking for committed partners, those willing to share this journey of reaching the unreached. We are also looking for people willing to serve on the ground with our team. Teachers, healthcare professionals, trades, construction, agriculture would all be backgrounds we could plug right in our new training centre in Northern Cambodia.
Barnabas Family Ministries has been extremely blessed by our dedicated volunteers. The history of this ministry is full of incredible people who were willing to give their own time and resources, which has contributed to our overall mission of strengthening families.
We are always looking for more people who have a desire to serve. Our volunteer opportunities include: maintenance and building projects, gardening, guest services, and our Barnabas ambassador program. Ambassadors are in churches around the continent, keeping their communities up to date with the retreats we offer and things that are happening at Barnabas.
Volunteer opportunities are for teens through seniors and can vary from a couple of days to a few weeks to seeing a specific project through to the end, mid-week or weekends. Please check our website barnabasfm.org for ways you can get involved in our mission to strengthen and encourage families or call the office at 604-886-2220 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

Trust is such a prized commodity. It is not given quickly or freely by many. This dynamic interaction and the tension it causes happens a great deal in children’s camp … and why shouldn’t it? It involves our most precious ones: our children.
I meet a variety of parents as they drive on the camp property and often the dialogue consists of conversations about trust. “How will I know my child will be safe?” “Is the counsellor well trained to look after my child?” “What do the campers do through the week?” The cultural understanding of the benefits of children’s camp are not always known and should not be assumed. There are many who are afraid, concerned or simply do not know what will happen to their children when sending them for a week of camp. We wish to alleviate these worries and build trust through relationship with families.
In the camping ministry we are doing our very best to be informative, transparent and responsible about all our practices. We are a people who desire to provide an unforgettable camping experience for children. To ensure best safety practices, for instance, we are accredited by the British Columbia Camping Association.
We believe that camp provides space for children to discover themselves in a safe and loving environment and that this helps them become confident, mature and fun loving people. We encourage you, as an interested parent, to take the initiative and get to know us. Come and visit; give us a call. We are a great bunch of people who love children and do so in a unique and fantastic way: camp!
The Canadian Baptists of Western Canada is a Christ-centred community of 180 churches and church plants—large and small, rural and urban. We hold a three-fold purpose: Inviting Faith. Acting in Mercy. Cultivating Leaders.
We invite you to join us on mission in your neighbourhood through belonging, multiplying, and initiating.
Belonging: God uses us to empower each other as we follow Him in our unique contexts. Will your congregation join our family for mutual support in the practicalities of church life today?
Multiplying: Who near you is not yet being reached with the Gospel? How could we equip your congregation to become a sent people into that new context? CBWC will walk with you on whatever the multiplication path may look like.
Initiating: Are you sensing the Spirit calling you to start a new community or ministry? Don’t go it alone. Our family of churches offers networking, prayer and mentorship as you engage a new work for the sake of God’s Kingdom.
Expect a Dynamic Year That You Won’t Soon Forget!

Celtic Place is a refuge for healing – a place to retreat and process end of life and grief issues or just those difficult times in life when all seems overwhelming. Celtic Place is a space where people can come to learn how to live fully – even in the face of the most difficult times in life – and to learn to live fully as a part of the grieving and letting go process.
God is so present. God is in every detail of life at Celtic Place. His blessing is evidenced in the people who contact us and say such things as, “We’ve been looking for months for a place like this.”… “I wasn’t a believer before, but being here makes me know that there is something that is bigger than me,” and “This is a wonderful place of refuge.”
“I lift my eyes to the hills, from where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord who made Heaven and earth.” (Psalm 121:1-2)
“Coming out of a seemingly Godless city, we most thoroughly thank you for your vision of faith to establish a beautiful house in such a wonderful setting of Gods’ creation – one that can scarcely be matched for its opportunity for our relaxed quite and renewal of body, nerves and soul through thankful appreciation of created wonders that strengthen us to tackle our duties of service again with joy, greatly aided by your ready assistance, delicious breakfasts, Rachel’s friendliness and the restful be. May our faithful Lord continue to inspire you in providing a place of peace for many guests.”
When we look back and see what has been created at Celtic Place – well, only God could make it happen! We give Him all the glory and honour for creating a quiet place where people can experience His emotional and spiritual healing. I’m reminded of a song by Phil Driscoll: “Every time I say ‘yes’ to You, seems there’s something wonderful You’re waiting to do.” All we did, Lord, was say ‘yes,’ and it has been amazing to watch You move! Thank you, God.

CSB Ministries Men’s Network
CSB Ministries builds Godly men of today and tomorrow. As Christian Service Brigade, we have done this for many generations. And as CSB’s Men’s Network, we have sponsored men’s training conferences in the Lower Mainland for years. Our purpose and commitment is to support pastors and leaders of local churches build and strengthen men. This in turn encourages their families and also strengthens their communities. CSB supports the local church to equip men to build their own vibrant men’s ministry program. We are committed to the principle that the local church is the place where Christ intends His people to find fellowship and encouragement.
Another focus of the CSB family is Iron Sharpens Iron men’s ministry. This April ISI will present a One Day Men’s Equipping Conference, an annual event that gathers our network of regional and international ministries together to showcase their services and resources which are specific to men. This year, keynote speakers Dr. Tom Blackaby and BC LIONS Defensive Coordinator Mark Washington anchor the 16 seminars at Eagle Ridge Bible Fellowship in Coquitlam on Saturday, April 8.
Brian Doyle, the founder of “ISI” says, “ISI brings men, the local church and pastor, together as one group of men following Jesus Christ.

Can a field hand become a lawyer?
Three-year-old Merling didn’t like being in the 34-degree heat all day.
After a day of toddling after her mother picking peanuts in the dusty fields of Nicaragua, she would feel sick. She wished she could stay home even if their house, a stuffy lean-to made of corrugated metal sheets, didn’t have much space to play.
But her mother, Angela, had no choice. There was no one to watch Merling while Angela worked, and she would do whatever it took to feed and clothe her daughter.
“One dollar a day is nothing, and some days I cannot make even that,” says Angela.
As Merling grew up, she would have found herself in the same cycle as her mom—dropping out of school and doing whatever odd jobs she could to buy a little food that day.
But a couple in Canada decided to sponsor Merling. Now Merling is a bright 16-year-old who has goals for her life—and a path to achieve them. Although six out of 10 children in Nicaragua drop out after primary school, Merling is one of the few in her neighbourhood who will graduate. She plans to find a job and put herself through college to become a lawyer.
Merling is one of the 1.9 million children in 26 countries around the world who are being empowered to climb out of poverty. Through Compassion’s sponsorship, children are given the resources they need to thrive, like
- educational opportunities,
- health care,
- life skills,
- and mentoring from loving community members.
What’s more, they hear the gospel of Christ and are discipled at the local church.
Through the Compassion centre at the local church, Merling and her mother, Angela, accepted Christ into their lives.
“I realized that when we have Christ in our hearts, we feel happy and confident that He will provide,” says Angela. “That confidence gives me strength.”
Through Compassion sponsorship, families are learning to put their faith in God and children are being mentored to become responsible leaders in their community—children who otherwise may have dropped out of school to work in the fields, continuing the cycle of poverty.
Thanks to God and her sponsors, Merling now has the hope, plans and opportunities to leave a life in the fields behind and become a lawyer. What could your sponsored child become? Visit compassion.ca/sponsor-a-child or call 1-800-563-5437 to find out!
Does What You Believe Match Reality?
Dr. Heinz Lycklama earned a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Physics and a Ph.D. degree in experimental Nuclear Physics from McMaster University in Canada. Since then he has worked in the telecommunications and computer software industries. In 2013 Heinz founded the Apologetics Forum to help equip believers in the defense of the Faith.
Challenged in his Christian faith by what he was taught in university in the 1960s, Dr. Lycklama has always maintained an active interest in the Creation vs. Evolution controversy. As his children reached school age and began to ask questions about what they were taught in school, he became more involved in researching the topic of Creation vs. Evolution. He has developed a series of lectures on this topic over the years and presented the material in Sunday school classes, to college students, during church services, at Bible Schools, and other venues in Greece, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Cameroon and Thailand, as well as in Canada and the USA.
Dr. Lycklama’s lectures, help the believer defend the Bible’s teaching on Creation and challenge the skeptic to take an honest look at what the Bible AND science have to say about Creation. See www.CreationBC.org for a list of upcoming talks February 17-18.

We asked a group of students currently taking the Equip to Serve (ETS) discipleship class through Discipeship International: “Why is discipleship important to you?”
It matters for it equips us as soldiers of Christ in the battlefield, which is the world. An equipped servant is better than 100 unprepared combined. To effectively share the gospel by going back to the basics ensures clarity and better method of relaying God’s good news to everyone.
– Regine Cervantes, 22 years old
Preparing us to share our faith with those who don’t know our only one God and to equip us to serve for God through sharing the word and in mission.
– RJ Tayag, 16 years old
ETS is important because it helps me to have time with God. As a disciple of God, it is important to have a solid foundation about Him, who he is to me, and help me share this message to those who don’t know him. Especially to those that I love the most.
– Angel De Lunas, 19 years old
ETS made me understand and appreciate “the fear of the Lord” to another level of intimacy. Complacency and laziness were challenged head on by discipline.

Spiritual Warfare! We are in it!
It amazes me how many Christians do not realize the serious warfare we are in on planet Earth! The truth is there is the natural realm that we see with our eyes and then there is the spiritual realm.
Ephesians 6 clearly says we wrestle not with flesh and blood but against spiritual wickedness in high places. Furthermore, many do not know how to battle victoriously! Lord Jesus showed us how to do so in Luke 4:1-13 and Matthew 4:1-11. We battle with God’s Word! We give voice to His word! Even His angels pay heed to God’s word as we speak it out. See Ps 103:20.
We enforce by our words and faith what Christ the Lord has done on the Cross and through His Holy powerful shed blood! “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony…” Revelations 12:11. ‘The word of our testimony’ refers to what we are saying and by God’s Word and Grace believing we defeat our foes. All of them! Amen! We speak God’s Word to our situations and lives. This is a blessed key for us believers in Christ as Lord! For example, if fear is troubling you, find a scripture on it and ‘speak’ it out often. A good one is 2 Timothy 1:6-7. “Therefore I remind you to stir up the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.”
Submit your life and situation totally to God. Resist the devil in Jesus Christ’s name, fear or whatever is troubling you will flee from you! We have God’s word on it, according to James 4:7-8! Then you draw near to God and He will draw near to you. Hallelujah! Then pray verses that enable ‘Perfect Love’ which casts out fear to be in your life, according to 1 John 4:18. Follow also by blessed Holy Spirit the instructions laid out in 1 John 2:5 and 1 John 4:13, 16-17. Be blessed and experience the perfect love that casts our fear and have your love made perfect according to God’s promises. Amen.
Here are the main weapons we have been given as Father God did not leave us weaponless: Christ’s Holy Blood, God’s Word, Praise (Psalms 9:3 & 22:3) Prayer, Faith, God’s Armour, The name of Jesus, The power of the Holy Spirit
I encourage you to fulfill God’s word and daily deny yourself (the old sinful nature given to us by the first Adam). Pick up your Cross and follow Jesus. In Luke 9:23 Jesus instructs us to do that daily! The Cross attained our victory and we need to be walking in our new nature always, as shown in 2 Corinthians 5:17. Be sure to affirm your defensive armour is in place by saying regularly “I am strong in the power of God’s might, having put on the whole armour of God!” God’s word says put on the whole Armour of God! A victorious instruction! All the Armour is for our defense except the “sword of the Spirit”. This is God’s word and a powerful weapon we are to use regularly! Take the shield of faith and say, “I quench every fiery dart of the wicked one against me with the shield of faith.” Then say, “I take the sword of the Spirit (which is God’s Rhema Word) and pray. Using God’s word in your prayers helps tremendously. All this that I write, I do. God knows and I am so moved to help God’s army move more strongly! Be encouraged! We win indeed for greater is Christ in us than our enemy in the world, as shown in 1 John 4:4.
Yield to Jesus Christ Lordship and always do Spiritual Warfare mingled with rich praise so you can be Victorious! It is every Christian’s destiny to be hupernikao (more than conquerors). He has led me to put together a wee booklet of Scriptural Prayers and a DVD of messages on Spiritual Warfare. These are available for order by phone 604-437-3200 or at eternityclub.org. Payment can be made through cheques, money order or PayPal.

Refugees in Europe
In 2016, GEM missionaries focused on ministry to refugees stuck in Greece or settling into Germany. Over 57 Canadian volunteers also ministered in short term ministry trips, returning with heartwarming and heart wrenching stories.
Because of unrest in the Moria Denention Center on the island of Lesbos, GEM Sweden missionary Forrest was asked with his team to serve at a local community centre. It was at lunch time when they arrived, so the rest of the team stopped to eat. Forrest, having a sense of urgency about getting to the Center, went on ahead without lunch. He met a guy from Morocco.
In the conversation, the man mentioned that he had a brother in Stockholm. Forrest realized on hearing the story of his brother in Stockhom that he had baptized him a couple years ago.
He arranged for the two brothers to speak on the phone right there and then shared his testimony with the brother in Lesbos. A God-arranged meeting had just happened and the dialogue between the brothers continues!
What an impact personal involvement with refugees can make! You can help make an impact through prayer or participation in ministry in Greece.
Anyone can send a cheque to the mission field but a mission team brings priceless things to the foreign mission field. By their action of using their vacation time, money, resources and time to travel somewhere else and to serve through various forms, whether building houses, teaching, medical work, children’s ministry or whatever, they are a walking testimony to the local people. The local people will ask why these “gringos” are here, working and sweating to build their house or teach their children, or provide medical care. This opens a huge door to share about God’s love and His word. It also tells the local people that they matter, they are important enough for the mission team to travel and use their time and money to come to serve them. This alone is a huge testimony for Christ. This is a priceless testimony that sending a cheque can never purchase.
Sponsor a refugee family now with no wait!
Multiple world crises have forcibly displaced refugees at an alarming rate. Some travel to Canada on their own and ask for asylum at an immigration office. These are refugee claimants, the people whom Journey Home Community supports.
Similar to Government and Privately Sponsored Refugees, Refugee Claimants require community assistance to rebuild their lives in Canada. JHC is able to help a small number but has to turn many away. Together, let’s change this!
JHC’s Refugee Claimant Sponsorship Program is seeking partners who will walk beside refugee families, already in Canada – no wait on government approval for sponsorship applications! In partnership, JHC trains and coaches your group in assisting a newly arriving refugee family. Partner with JHC to make 2017 a year of welcome for one more refugee family. Last winter in eastern Ukraine, 15-year-old Artyom and his family—living in a village dangerously close to the frontlines of the war—had run out of food. Artyom didn’t know how he or his little sister would survive. Just when everything seemed hopeless . . .
Artyom noticed a bus outside. The bus was filled with young Christian leaders from Mission Eurasia’s “I Care” Refugee Assistance Program who had come to Artyom’s village to distribute bread, supplies, Bibles—and the love of Jesus. After receiving a supply of nutritious food to help his family through the winter, Artyom chatted with the Christian leaders, who shared God’s love with him, prayed for his family, and gave Artyom his own Bible.
“Before your visit, I was worried about death,” shared Artyom. “Now I know I will go to heaven—I talk to God and ask Him to forgive my sins. I am reading my Bible, and I am excited to learn more about Jesus! Thank you for bringing my family food and hope.”
This winter, millions of hurting refugees and people displaced by the war in eastern Ukraine, like Artyom, are crying out for hope and healing. By delivering nutritious food, supplies, and the gospel message, our young Christian leaders are being the hands and feet of Jesus to those in need. But we need your help! We are raising funds to purchase 10,000 Scripture packets for refugees and families devastated by the war. Each Scripture packet costs $10 and includes an adult Bible and a youth Bible translated in Russian or Ukrainian. The Bibles are lovingly hand-delivered, with food and life-saving supplies, to victims of war in Ukraine by our trained young Christian leaders.

All Welcome to Missions Fest Vancouver 2017
The 34th Missions Fest Vancouver conference is coming soon – January 27-29th. We hope that you’re excited about this amazing opportunity that we have to engage with missional leaders from around the world. Missions Fest will be back at Canada Place and we want to encourage you to bring your friends and family, particularly those who have never visited before. General admission is still free.
We know that there is a groundswell of interest in this year’s theme of Justice and the Gospel as Justice is an issue that resonates in our culture at this time. There is rising concern over the plight of the poor, the powerless, the widow and the orphan. We’re going to dig into this topic and ask tough questions about what it means to live justly as a Christian.
There are many competing ideas of what justice looks like, but we’re interested in what Scripture says to us on this topic. To give some shape to our conversation, we’ve come up with a definition. We’re suggesting that “Justice is a right relation to God actively overflowing to self, neighbour, and creation; a foretaste of the flourishing and peace of God’s Shalom.”
Missions Fest is a celebration of God’s transformative power at work in the world. As part of our celebration we will have over 250 exhibitors, with at least twenty who are exhibiting for the first time at the conference. This year there are lots of other changes that we hope you’ll enjoy as well. We are introducing five Mini Conferences on Friday afternoon (tickets required), giving participants an opportunity to explore a single topic in greater depth than a one-hour seminar could allow. Ballroom B is going to be dedicated to intercessory prayer, with Interactive Prayer Stations and Windows on the World presenting many opportunities for people to engage in praying for the nations. We’re also excited to have the Healing Rooms ministry offering personal prayer in the Prayer Room off the lobby. The Film Festival will be returning to the East Convention Centre this year (Ballroom A) so we’ll all be under ‘one roof.’
Our General Sessions are seeing exciting changes as well, moving to a single stage for the weekend. Each session will be a more dynamic mix of music, short talks, video and the creative arts. Our desire is that all generations will find something that touches their heart in every session. We’ve tried to knit the sessions together in a master narrative with one theme flowing naturally into the next. You won’t want to miss any of them! Please note that as a result of our one stage concept we have moved our Youth Events to be the main draw on Saturday night (tickets required.).
Be sure to have a look at our website for descriptions and times of the 66 seminars, the Fit Faith Challenge, I Am Filmmaker, and our Guest Speakers’ seminars. There are going to be three Arts Café times on the weekend with three new artists on the roster! The creative ensemble, Atesto is returning with another exciting performance on Saturday afternoon.
We pray that you are powerfully impacted through this conference and that your hearts are stirred to live justly and to participate in Christ’s mission. Please share your experiences on Twitter at #MFV2017.
Will you move in?
John 1:14 says, “The Word (Jesus) became flesh and made his dwelling among us.” Or, as The Message paraphrases it, “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood.”
MoveIn is about copying Jesus’ example (Phil. 2:5-7) by literally moving into the neighbourhood. The movement is present in Vancouver, Surrey and 27 other cities around the world – 11 countries in all. We have discovered that something amazing happens when a group of Christians intentionally move into a neighbourhood to pray and be.
Rather than visiting or serving and then going away, they share in their neighbourhood’s joys, and in its troubles. They are there as salt and light and can act as he hands and feet of Christ, with a cup of cold water in one hand and the good news in the other. Will you move consider moving in?
Ignoring justice is injustice
Yes, there is darkness in our world, but darkness is nothing more than the absence of light. That means that only those deemed by Christ to be the light of the world, His followers, can alleviate injustice whether nearby or afar. It’s not optional, even if we act as if it is. Scripture says: “Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them” Eph. 5:11. Christians have unjustifiably focused on the first part of that command, ignoring the latter. As we reach out to people, we find structures and patterns of injustice that need to be exposed, countered and brought into God’s light.
Either we ignore the cause of justice (and a lot of Scripture that demands passionate involvement) or by faith we embrace the God who calls us to it.
Think of the 30 million victims of human trafficking: What if 30 million followers of Christ spoke on their behalf? The key is faith that our God indeed is greater than all evil. OM worldwide is developing various ministries focused on justice that will bring lasting changes to transformed communities. And, it is proven that such compassion opens doors to the gospel otherwise shut. Let’s decide together that, here and now, we will love what God loves, including justice and the oppresssed. Visit om.org and let us move forward together for justice’s sake. “The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern” Proverbs 29:7.
People International is an interdenominational Christian organization, whose vision is to see churches established that proclaim the Good News among the Muslim peoples of Central Asia and model true Christian living on the example of Jesus Christ.
People International was established in 1979 and since then has been researching Central Asia and making the needs of the Central Asian people known to Christians in other parts of the world.
Since 1980, People International has been sending in short-term teams and placing workers long-term on the field to live and work among the local people.
People International has a two-fold approach. Firstly, we research Central Asia and make the needs of the Central Asian people known to Christians in other parts of the world and secondly, we send short-term teams and place workers long-term on the field in teams to live and work among the local people.
Our workers in Central Asia are involved in the work of church planting, friendship evangelism and scripture translation, as well as showing the love of Christ in practical ways through project work.
What I learned in class was actually WORTH something! So often we go to a class and never actually APPLY what it was they were teaching. Perspectives classes are a true-to-life example of the “real world.”
“It’ll ruin you for the ordinary” – Floyd McClung,YWAM. Never before had something so lived up to this. It was no less than everything I’d been searching for in explaining how the Kingdom of God is lived out here on earth. And now, at least I know. And that’s half the battle. The living-it-out part is still a work in progress. I hope you ‘accidentally stumble’ your way into taking it. You won’t regret it!

Summit Ministries Canada prepares Christian students intellectually for study at college or university, and for service afterwards as leaders in society who “understand the times” in which they live. Our training seeks to equip students with the “critical thinking” tools necessary for the development of a comprehensive Biblical perspective on the world we live in. Why is it that our teens and young adults are being intellectually converted at university and in our culture to anti-Biblical philosophies like Postmodernism (Culture is truth), Relativism ( I have my own truth), Scientism ( Science is the only way to truth), Islamism (Islam is the truth) or Genderism ( Truth depends on your sexual “identity”)? “Fool-proof” yourself, your teens, and your church against the philosophies of our age. Christian students who develop a confidence in their own Biblical worldview, will be equipped to “make disciples of all nations” (Matt 28:18), by becoming “salt & light” (Matt 5:13-16) in every area of life.
The International Christian Embassy Jerusalem is Your Christian Embassy in Jerusalem!
One of ICEJ Canada’s objectives is to bring Biblical truth concerning Israel to Christians from coast to coast to coast. To that end, we have launched a television program for Canadians, Inside Israel with ICEJ Canada.
Aired four times weekly on Vision Zoomer TV Sundays at 12:30 pm PT and Daystar Canada 6 am Wednesdays, 1 pm Fridays and 1:30 pm PT Sundays. Programs are archived on our website under ‘Media/ICEJ Canada TV’.
The 30 min show highlights many facets of our ministry: our Israel Aid projects with a focus on the people in the Land, round table discussions on timely issues, scriptural teachings, advocacy and on site interviews.
We invite you to learn more about us at icejcanada.org. As a registered charity, 100 per cent of what we receive goes to the project(s) of your choice.
Imagine a school fully staffed by teachers, administrators, counsellors, nurses, and coaches who were passionate about living out Jesus every day in front of students from all faiths and cultures.
The Network of International Christian Schools has 17 K-12 international schools in 15 countries. NICS schools are impacting students from over 100 nations. For many students, attending a NICS school is their first exposure to Jesus. That was the case for one second grade Japanese girl, who after three years approached her teacher and told her she wanted to accept Jesus. She is just one of the many lives that are being transformed in NICS classrooms around the world.
Each year about 150 additional professionals are needed to fully staff NICS schools with the teachers, business managers, administrators, counsellors, nurses, and coaches needed to impact the nations for Christ. On February 18, 2017, NICS will host its annual Job Fair. One of the greatest things about the NICS Educator Job Fair is the opportunity to learn what God is doing around the world through international Christian education. You will see live presentations about each of our schools; learning more about the culture and impact of each school. While the live event is held near Memphis, Tennessee, you can register to watch it from the comfort of your home. Find out more at www.nics.org/events.
Imagine using your professional training to reach the world for Christ. You do not have to imagine it; you can experience it – serve with NICS.
Changing lives with clean water
Did you know that 30,000 people die every day because they drink contaminated water? We believe that everything good starts with clean water and while contaminated water is the number one cause of death and disease in the world, it’s the easiest to fix. At Water Ambassadors Canada, we are dedicated to providing the most basic source of life for as many people as possible.
Water Ambassadors Canada is a faith-based, registered Canadian humanitarian agency committed to sending short-term volunteer teams down to some of the most remote villages and communities throughout Central and South America. Our mission is to drill and rehabilitate wells, install chlorination and filtration systems, build Biosand filters, distribute Sawyer filters, teach health and hygiene – all in the name of Jesus Christ, the source of our living Water.
You can help save the lives of those in developing countries by responding to this global need for clean water. You can help change the lives of hundreds of people in a just ONE week. Find out more on how you can help at waterambassadorscanada.org.
– 1.1 billion people (1/6th of the world’s population) lack access to clean water
– 2.6 billion people (40 per cent of the world’s population) lack adequate sanitation
– 1.5 billion people suffer from illness due to water-borne parasites such as worms, protozoa and bacteria
– 6,000 children die every day from illness caused by water-borne diseases
– 80 per cent of all disease and sickness in the world is caused by inadequate water supply or inadequate sanitation
“Great cause, great people. I’ve been on four trips so far and they have been some of the best experiences of my life … I’ve made lifelong friends through Water Ambassadors, both in Canada and in Central America. Definitely a great organization.” – Sabrina W.
“Where can my skills or education be used in missions?” We would be glad to talk to you. WEC’s workers come from all sorts of backgrounds and levels of training. A recent letter from a worker teaching Occupational Therapy in Asia spoke of the joy in seeing some of her students opening their hearts to Jesus. Young people just out of Bible College in Canada are in the Middle East, studying the local language. They are excited about the opportunities to witness and pray with people and look forward to the day when they can express themselves better. Teachers, evangelists, church planters, medical workers, farmers, accountants, media and IT people, maintenance workers etc. can all carry the light of the gospel to the unreached of the world. We may be the ones to help you on your way. WEC does not make appeals for funds, but we pray with you for God’s provision.
