Brian Doerksen in Abbotsford

Award winning Christian singer-songwriter Brian Doerksen will be live on stage in Abbotsford on March 25 at Level Ground Church. Doerksen is a thoughtful, genuine, and talented musician who has been writing songs for the global Church for decades, including favourites like “Come, Now Is the Time to Worship” and “Hallelujah (Your Love is Amazing).” A native of Abbotsford, Doerksen now shares his time between BC and Three Hills, Alberta where he leads an innovative Music & Worship Arts program at Prairie Bible College. The March 25 concert will feature music with Doerksenand his band, as well as two exclusive interviews. Concert goers can expect an evening of powerful encounter with Christ through authentic worship, as well as a night of unique opportunity to engage in a life-changing ministry that is close to Doerksens heart. All proceeds from the concert are being generously donated to a cause he believes in – LifeBridge Ministries. A group of professionals and volunteers who support men and women during and after treatment for addictions, LifeBridge seeks to transform the lives of people in recovery through the love of Jesus expressed in the community of the church. A local Abbotsford ministry, LifeBridge is literally saving lives. LifeBridge provides a source of ongoing training and support to a growing network of churches, organizations and volunteers as they seek to engage in the lives of men and women in recovery. Bible studies and Alpha are run at the Peardonville Treatment Centre for women as well as Kinghaven Treatment Centre for men. LifeBridge also works in several second stage recovery homes throughout the city and with individuals who have graduated from Kinghaven/Peardonville who choose to live in our community. The most important aspect of recovery is what will happen when I graduate from the program? Do I have a job? Do I have a place to live? Who am I associating with? What meetings am I going to? These answers come from mutual support, and in most cases a mentoring situation. LifeBridge offers trained mentors – volunteers to walk with those coming out of addiction into creating a new lifestyle free of drugs and alcohol. Tickets for this concert are on sale now for $20 at House of James. Tickets will also be available at the door on Saturday night for $25, but seating is limited. lifebridgeministry.com
