Strengthening the family:
Family Matters Conference
Kick off the fall season for you, your family and church family ministries with a great opportunity to attend a fun, encouraging and educational event intended to teach, edify and strengthen the family unit.
Guest speakers include TV host Laura Lynn Tyler -Thompson of the 700 Club Canada, Darin Latham, lead pastor at Broadway Church and Dr. David Jamieson, lead pastor at Church in the Valley.
Pastor Latham comments, “Raising children is one of those skills that you learn on the job. It occurred to me that I was much better at it by the time I no longer needed to do it – when my children were grown! That’s why passing on insights and tips from generation to generation is such a crucial thing to do.”
• Parents & Grandparents’ sessions will cover such topics as parenting, relationship building in marriages and in the home, surviving divorce and failure, generational inheritance, and informing about sexual orientation and gender identity issues facing our school children and families today.
The conference will culminate with a Q & A session and special prayer and ministry time led by local pastors for the families and individuals. Lunch is included with registration.
• Children (aged 3-12) will enjoy an educational program and activities with special guest Judi The Manners Lady. Sessions will mainly focus on the three Kindness Keys – “Kind Attitude”, “Kind Words” and “Kind Actions” and then role-play fun ways of showing R-E-S-P-E-C-T. ‘We’re going to have a blast” Judi says, ““we are so excited about the Family Matters Conference celebrating Canada 150 and celebrating families who make up the foundation of this great country in this super fun and meaningful way!”
• Youth will be impacted in training sessions with The John Maxwell Team of YouthMax Plus featuring the Youth Ambassador Nick Vujicic via video. John Maxwell trainers will be on-site.
Conference producer, Ed Wilson-Liu, summarizes, “Children are the foundational pieces of our future as they grow to lead our families and our country. We must train them now in steps of righteousness, integrity, respect and healthy relationships with their companions and elders. That’s why I’m passionate about opportunities like the Family Matters Conference to impart into their lives.”
The Family Matters Conference is produced by Beracah Productions: (Beracah is Hebrew for blessing)
