Chilliwack Gospel Music New Years Celebration
by Alan Phillips
Another year is coming to a close and if you are looking for a good way to go out with the old and enter the new, Wayne Dyck and Chilliwack Alliance Church are continuing the now 18 year tradition of their New Year’s Celebration, a fun and full evening of Gospel music singing and dinner on the grounds.
Headlining the concert portion of the evening this year is Tribute Quartet. Based in Nashville, Tennessee, Tribute Quartet has become one of the most dynamic and beloved male quartets in all of gospel music. Gary Casto, Josh Singletary, Riley Harrison Clark, and Anthony Davis have a good combination of musical talent, humour, and warm and engaging personalities. I have seen them perform and will tell you that they are in fact good singers, young and energetic, and very entertaining and funny guys. Alongwith the Tribute Quartet will be the solid homegrown Gospel group, The Young Street Vocal band, and also Western Canada’s quintessential gospel and hymn saxophone group since 1962, the Royal Heirs.
It all happens of course on Monday, December 31 at 6:30 pm for a beautiful seven course buffet style dinner and 8:30 pm for the evening concert to midnight when they will say a prayer in closing to usher in the New Year in joy and peace. Tickets are $60 each for the whole evening, and you have the option of the concert celebration only at $30 each. As always, they allow anyone 18 and under free admission for the evening gospel concert. To order your tickets call 1-800-410-0188 and they will give you all the information you need.
See you there!
