Concerts
Hillsong Young & Free: III (Live at Hillsong Conference), Hillsong Music

Hillsong Young & Free, in recent years, has risen from the shadows of their veteran older-sibling band Hillsong United with their youthful EDM-influenced worship songs that have been heard now across the globe. Their fifth full-length album III (Live at Hillsong Conference) includes a 16-song set that showcases not only their high-energy pop-influenced vertical songs but also their lyrical and musical maturity. Highlights include new songs “Let Go” and “Just Jesus” along with favourites “Wake” and “Sinking Deep” along with many of the songs from last year’s III album.
Mark your calendars, as you don’t want to miss their Canadian Tour that will see them in Edmonton on April 5, Calgary on April 9, Kelowna on April 11 and Abbotsford on April 13

Switchfoot: Native Tongue, Fantasy Records, 2019

After the band announced a hiatus back in December 2017, there was some doubt about what the future would be for Switchfoot. Now, after 22 years since their debut album, they have released their 11th studio album. And Native Tongue, once agai,n sees the band offering up sounds that are both familiar and fresh on these 14 tracks. Highlights found here include the electronic pop duet of “The Hardest Art” (feat. Kaela Sinclair), the soft pop of “Joy Invincible”, and the modern rock stylings of “Let it Happen” and “All I Need”. Jon Foreman weaves the theme of love and hope throughout the lyrics found here, as heard on, “Joy Invincible”, which proclaims, “Open your eyes/look to the skies/we are the children of the promise”.
Switchfoot will be joined by Colony House on their tour that stops in Vancouver on April 13, 2019. There are no Alberta concerts planned.
