Something for everyone at the Abbotsford Agrifair

Escape to the Abbotsford Agrifair and Mighty Fraser Rodeo July 31 – August 3 for some hoot-hollering live entertainment and good old fashioned family fun.

The thrilling car-crunching demolition derby releases its automotive carnage on Agrifair grounds once again. This crowd pleaser will have patrons “putting the pedal to the metal” in an effort to snag a good seat in the stands early before the frenzy of four-wheeled gladiators fire-up their engines for the final combat of their exhausted lives.

The big and brawny West Coast Lumberjacks are back with their highly entertaining, action-packed and competitive show. A huge attraction for people of all ages, you’ll want to cheer these guys on as they test their strength, speed and agility against other logging professionals in a series of forestry challenges.

Young fans will go hog-wild as Richard’s racing ducks and pigs ham it up in the racing ring. Not only are the pigs fast, they are smart! They do tricks, jump through hoops and respond to voice commands.

New to the fair this summer are the furiously fast and fun mini chuck wagon races. Although these horses are small, under 36 inches, they have huge competitive hearts and love to run. “Do not tell them they are little because they really believe they are race horses!” says the Alberta Miniature Chuckwagon Racing Association. Come out and cheer on your favourite team as they race around barrels in an effort to beat their opponents.

Send your children on a culinary adventure with Chef Pamela E in the Kids Kitchen and inspire them to cook for you! It’s a great way to teach your children the fun science behind healthy cooking with recipes along with basic food preparation and safety in the kitchen.

The Reptile Guy will stop by with a few of his reptilian friends and a gaming/PlayStation area will keep the kids happy and entertained while you relax.

In concert on Sunday will be Grammy award winning singer/songwriter, Laura Story who co-wrote the worship favourite Indescribable. Also appearing will be local artist Mike Barton and Awake O Sleeper, from Chilliwack.

Other confirmed fun for 2015 includes Valley Voices Vocal Competition, EECW/ICW Wrestling, Vendor Village, Draft Horse Demos, Pro Rodeo with JJ Harrison rodeo clown, 4-H livestock shows and competitions, educational agriculture displays and demos and LEGO with Brick Games.
