Music notes – GMA Week 2020

For the first time, GMA(Gospel Music Association) Canada is partnering with Trinity Western University in Langley, BC to host GMA Week, March 19-21, culminating with the 41st Annual Covenant Awards and Gala dinner on March 21.

This year’s Covenant Awards will be hosted by Vancouver musician, Warren Dean Flandez and ShineFM’s Hollie Taylor.

Artists scheduled to perform at this year’s awards include pop duo LOVECOLLIDE, Vancouver singer/songwriter Chelsea Amber, Manitoba pop/rock band The Color, melodic rock singer/songwriter Amy Savin, and Vancouver’s R&B/Gospel artist Warren Dean Flandez, along with a special reunion performance by Hokus Pick.

Over these three days, there will be opportunities to take in GMA Canada Showcase live performances from artists from across Canada at multiple venues in the Fraser Valley including House of James, Trinity House and Trinity Western University.

Highlights include the Friday night concert with The Color and Amelia Charles along with the Worship night to close out the weekend on Saturday night with Joshua Leventhal from The Village Church.

This year’s top nominated artists include The Color (9), Chelsea Amber (9) and Dan Bremnes (7).
This is only the second time in the 41 year history of the Covenant Awards that the event has been held in BC.
All events and performances including the Covenant Awards Show and Gala dinner are open to the public.
