On a safari to summer fun!
While some venues remain closed, others are beginning to open. Here are a few ideas to get your family out of the house!
Like you, Urban Safari Rescue Society has seen massive changes to our routine, our staffing levels, revenue levels and much more. It has been challenging and will continue to be for quite a while but, like you, we are adapting.
We are keeping our core mission and values at the forefront of everything we do and every adaptation we are making – the health and safety of the 350 rescued, exotic animals at our facility, the health and safety of our remaining staff and volunteers, the education of the public about these animals and the natural world in general.
We are very excited to announce that we have recently reopened our doors for visits from the public, 11 am to 4 pm every day, except Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Only 10 people are allowed in the building at any time. All visitors and staff must wear a mask or face shield and keep 2 metres (6.5’) apart. There is sanitizer available at the door for your hands. If you feel unwell, we ask that you do not visit, for the safety of all.
If you aren’t able to come for an onsite visit, we also offer private, live, interactive, hour-long presentations via Zoom, Skype or Microsoft Teams. It’s great for a birthday, school class, day cares, scout groups, church groups, etc., or just for your own family. We have done presentations for people around the world – across Canada, USA, Europe, Australia and Cambodia!
Come have some fun and learn about all the incredible animals. We miss you and the animals miss you!
To book an online presentation or onsite visit, please email us at email@example.com or call (604) 531-1100. For more info, go to www.urbansafari.ca. We are located at 1395 176 Street, Surrey.
Giggle Ridge Mini Golf at the Cultus Lake Adventure Park is now open every day from 10 am to 10 pm. Eighteen different holes, each with their own quirks and challenges.
Free parking is available to Giggle Ridge golfers, across the street at the Waterpark lot. Parking gates are open from 9:30 am to 10 pm.
This is the beginning phase of reopening the full adventure park.
Other rides, waterslides, and attractions are being prepared in anticipation of opening dates in July with modified capacities, hours of operation, etc. More details will be announced soon, as we continue to monitor the ever-changing COVID-19 crisis.
Health and Safety of utmost importance.
Guidelines from provincial health officials are being closely followed, and all necessary measures to ensure enhanced sanitation and cleanliness are being observed. This includes:
- Limiting capacity and following social distancing guidelines
- Increasing our already-aggressive cleaning and disinfecting procedures, and frequently cleaning all high-touch surfaces
Exposure to COVID-19 is an inherent risk in any public location where people are present; we cannot guarantee you will not be exposed during your visit. All Guests should evaluate their risk in determining whether to attend and should do their best to follow hygiene recommendations from our public health officials.
- We recommend that customers bring and use face coverings when entering our park, and that all customers wash their hands regularly or use hand sanitizer to disinfect.
The following individuals are recommended not to attend:
- Older adults (recommend anyone 70 years of age and older)
- People of any age who have serious underlying medical conditions or are immune-compromised
