In With and For the Neighbourhood
This part-time role (up to 10 hours/week) provides spiritual and musical leadership for the church’s gathered worship, helping cultivate meaningful, Christ-centered worship that engages the congregation.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and lead weekly worship services in collaboration with the staff team
- Select songs, readings, and liturgical elements that align with sermon themes and church calendar (e.g., Lent, Advent)
- Lead worship (vocally and/or instrumentally) during services
- Create a flow of worship that is accessible and engaging for the congregation
- Schedule and communicate with the worship team regularly
- Provide musical and spiritual guidance to team members
- Organize and lead rehearsals
- Prepare charts, chord sheets, and lyric slides for Sundays
- Work with sound/tech team to ensure smooth services
A candidate for this position should
- Model a life of worship, humility, and discipleship
- Have a growing, active faith in Jesus Christ
- Have musical proficiency
- Have experiences leading teams and leading worship
- Have basic understanding of sound systems and worship technology
- Have alignment with the church’s theology and values
Pay will be determined in discussion with the candidate, based on experience.
This interim position is for May-August 2026 but has the potential to begin earlier.
