The Position
Quinte Christian High School (QCHS) is seeking a full-time Alternative Learning Program (Life Skills) Coordinator / Educational Assistant commencing Aug. 1, 2026.
Who we are
QCHS is owned and operated by the Quinte Region Christian Schools (www.qrcs.ca). Located just a few hours east of Toronto in the beautiful Bay of Quinte region, these four schools have joined together with a collaborative vision for the long term future of Christian education in the Quinte area. As Teaching for Transformation (TfT) schools, we seek candidates enthusiastic to create authentic, formational learning experiences that invite, nurture, and empower students to play their part in God’s story through their everyday learning.
The Job
The job will include a blend of developing and coordinating our new alternative learning program as well as supporting students as an educational assistant. The percentages for each role will be determined according to the skills & gifts of the successful candidate and the determined structure of the program. All this said, the position will be a full-time position.
The successful candidate will be determined by a wide range of skills and gifts, including past experience, qualifications & certifications, team player, initiative, culture creator, adaptability, flexibility and desire to live out Christ’s love with all of God’s children. Knowledge and/or experience in classroom implementation of differentiated instruction, technology/Google Classroom, and Teaching for Transformation would be beneficial but not mandatory.
