Website Northern Canada Evangelical Mission
The leadership and missionaries of Northern Canada Evangelical Mission are passionate to build the Body of Christ in Canada’s Indigenous communities where it does not yet thrive. To this end, to commence his ministry in 2025, we seek a leader capable of serving the Mission family as General Director.
He must be able to capture as his own the Governing Board’s vision of what the Holy Spirit will require of NCEM in the upcoming years, and be capable of organizing missionaries and implementing specific plans of faith to see this accomplished.
He will develop an ability to respect and truly hear the voices of every part of the NCEM family, including its church planters in the most distant fields, department workers, single workers, and “MKs” (missionary kids).
The successful applicant will be a godly morale-building “officer to his troops” and a pastor, eager to lead the directors and staff in glorifying their Saviour — through his own daily work and attitude, as well as through regular written communication, and annual gatherings.
This mature leadership role demands a rich experiential background including: pastoral work, field service, several years of cross-cultural immersion, a diploma in Christian theology, and being well-read in missiology.
Character references are required, as the successful applicant will live and lead in consistent humility and kindness, faithfulness and dependability, discernment and Biblical insight, courage and good humor, delightfully empowering others to become as spiritually and professionally successful as possible.
Brief letters of inquiry and resumes may be sent to: Ed Peters (Board Chair) <boardchair@ncem.ca>
