We all want to change, but we don’t want to transform and we all want to transform but we don’t want to change. Welcome to the exhausting cycle of fitting in to stand out. Me Right Now is a new play written by our very own Val Lieske. It explores thoughts on the impermanence of self, the double-edged sword of certainty, and who we were, are, and who might just emerge.
At what point in our timeline do we finalize identity? What happens when that landscape changes, and personal terrain becomes unfamiliar? Labels and opinions can accumulate like burrs on corduroy pants: prickly and hard to shake off. In a world determined to sort, peg, rank and categorize, are we losing the luxury of changing our minds? This brand new play explores thoughts on the impermanence of self, the double-edged sword of certainty, and who we were, are, and who might just emerge.
