Hope Church Parry Sound is hiring a Family Ministries Director—a key leadership role overseeing Life Groups, Hope Youth, and Hope Kids. This full-time position reports to the Lead Pastor and Board of Elders.
Key Responsibilities
Life Groups
Recruit, train, and support Life Group leaders
Oversee group formation, curriculum, and discipleship resources
Encourage church-wide Life Group participation
Hope Youth
Develop and lead weekly youth gatherings with teaching, worship, and activities
Build a student leadership culture aligned with church mission
Recruit and train leaders, manage the budget, communicate with parents
Plan events like winter camp and explore missions opportunities
Hope Kids
Oversee Sunday children’s ministry and weekly after-school program
Teach regularly, manage volunteers and curriculum
Ensure adherence to policies and coordinate childcare for church events
Qualifications
Competency
Preferred: pastoral experience or theological degree
Strong Bible teaching, leadership, and organizational skills
Ability to lead independently while collaborating with staff
Character
Lives out biblical pastoral qualifications (1 Tim. 3; Titus 1)
Spirit-led, humble, servant-hearted, and diligent
Chemistry
Active in local church life and team-oriented
Committed to disciple-making and aligned with Hope Church’s vision
