A hockey play that swings!
It’s 1933 and four friends decide to show the nation that hockey isn’t just for men. With the Great Depression at its height, political tensions in Europe taking hold and the prospect of another world war on the horizon, can these dedicated women overcome stereotypes, skepticism and heartache as they battle their way to glory, one game at a time? Can they demonstrate to the nation that everyone belongs on home ice?
Based on the true story of Canada’s own Preston Rivulettes, this highly entertaining and inspiring play incorporates jazz age music and swing dance to create a theatre experience that celebrate the ties that bind us together as a nation, and the value of dedicated purpose and personal self worth.
