For 20 years, Journey Home Community has walked alongside refugee claimants, welcoming them into community and offering them the support they need to rebuild their lives.
Today, we celebrate the journey of Isabel, Mateo, and their son, Luis, who arrived in Canada seeking safety. Before finding their way to Journey Home, they struggled in temporary shelters, uncertain of what the future held. With support, they found stability, medical care for Luis, and—after a long search—a permanent home. Today, Isabel speaks English with confidence, Mateo is working, and their family is thriving.
For 20 years, stories like theirs have been at the heart of our work—families finding safety, rebuilding their lives, and discovering hope for the future. At our 20th Annual Gala, we will honour these stories, celebrate the impact of two decades of welcome, and ensure this work continues for years to come.

For two decades, we’ve been welcoming and supporting refugee claimants as they build new lives in Canada. Held at the beautiful Riverway Golf Course, this annual gala brings together friends, supporters, and newcomers to celebrate community and raise vital funds for housing, essential services, and a warm welcome.
