The next CORE Celebration concert is scheduled for Sunday, March 22 at 3:30pm at Grace Presbyterian Church.

CORE Celebration is a citywide worship gathering featuring a rich musical program including choir, instrumentalists, singers, and many local musicians from the professional and church communities within our city. Our feature speaker is Irene Pfeiffer. Irene is a “people person” who has contributed consistently and significantly to others since she came to Calgary in 1974. There is a wide range of Google definitions to describe a philanthropist, and Irene is a fine example of most of them. She gives of her time, talent, and treasures as a form of altruism to make positive changes happen to humanity.

Irene is the current chair of the national board of Teen Challenge, an organization to help young men and women overcome substance abuse, working out of 18 centres across the country. She will share some of her story and give an overview of the work Teen Challenge is doing in Alberta and across Canada.

The CORE Choir and men’s chorus will provide the special music.
