The other day, during my devotions, I heard the Blessed Holy Spirit say, “hunker down!” I am a church minister. I knew what God meant. Keep things close; don’t struggle to have big crowds and big meetings; settle in. I knew also my Lord wanted me to share these words.
Hunker down. It’s good to know the Lords leading for this time. A time of refreshing. Extra time for a deeper walk with God, through Jesus Christ. A time of not being able to do as much as we normally do, to not be so busy. A time to trust God, to become stronger than ever in Christ, a time to deepen our love relationship with Him!
A time to be in prayer, to be in praise, (singing a love song to God). A time to be in God’s word and increase intimacy in a quiet love relationship with our Holy Father through Jesus Christ as our Lord.
Yes, we can moan, we can complain, after all, we are severely stressed, we are fearful of what’s happening and the lack of things being as they “used to be.”
May God help us use the extra time, and our energy to seek Him!
This pandemic is no surprise to God! Not at all. He is searching to see who will turn closer to Him. Scripture says, “His eyes go over all the earth to see whose hearts are loyal to Him, to show Himself strong on their behalf.” 2 Chronicles 16: 9, Amen!
He is looking to see who will put their trust and hope in God Almighty? God has said “If My people… will humble themselves and pray, I would hear from heaven… ”
God loves us so much that Jesus Christ came to earth in human flesh to show us a Godly example. He died on the Cross in our place for our sins! Such Love! John 3: 16.
God loves us, indeed, but he will allow us to be tried by difficult and challenging trials so we can turn to Him and come forth pure gold! 1 Peter 1:7.
I am going for the Gold! Come along with me! Put your trust in God Almighty! He’s greater than the pandemic and greater than anything. Give God your everything, your all. Say, and be sincere, “I give You my life Father God, I ask and receive the Lord Jesus Christ into my life to be, not only Saviour but Lord! Holy Jesus take hold of me and all I have, all that’s dear to me I give to you, Be Lord, Holy Jesus Christ. Amen.”
I believe God very much wants to be in our lives, He wants to give us His all – and we need to give Him our all. It’s all for all!
The present situation will pass but will you come through stronger in Gods strength? Always remember Christ is in you, Christ is in me, Christ is in His people. With that indwelling presence of Jesus, we can handle life. “Do not fear, do not be dismayed (downcast), for I am with you, I am Your God, I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with My Righteous right hand” Isaiah 41:10
Amen.
