This position requires a deep commitment to the Christian faith, its principles and practices. This position can expect to regularly be praying with other staff clients and supporters. Participating in regular Bible studies and discipleship. Staff should actively seek to live out what we teach our clients and apply this faith in their personal and professional lives. Alignment with the Christian doctrines outlined on the ATCCC website is essential.

Position Overview: Serving the Programs to provide excellent leadership to the staff, clients and their families. This position assists in ensuring the program meets all accreditation standards.

Note: This is not a complete list of this position’s duties and responsibilities. The items below are examples of the types of activities performed. Other duties may be assigned.

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide one on one mentorship sessions with assigned students once a week for a weekly total of 45 minutes per student
Record and track all mentorship sessions on reporting systems provided
Create and teach GSNL & PSNL curriculum and learning plans
Be trained and certified to teach all materials as requested
Record and track all class progression on the reporting system provided
Schedule or adapt class time appropriately in order to maintain and honour the timeframe set forth by and to ensure the academic success of each student
Family Communications
Develop & Maintain excellent relationships with student families and support
Communicate student progression or incidents weekly to respected family members
Record all family communications on the reporting system provided
Invite all families to ATC events (banquets, golf tournament, Freedom Service, family days
Organize and plan assigned student requests, phone calls, visits and appointments and track requests on the reporting system provided
Ensure that scheduled program events, rules & procedures are being followed by students
Provide mature leadership to students in daily activity as well as at events such as Church Services,  outreach booths/presentations etc.
Assist with the organization and execution of Freedom Services.
Inviting clients families
Sharing the sermon when requested
Assisting with set up and supervision

Secondary Responsibilities:

Maintain Student Bank for assigned students
Contribute to and/or coordinate work detail schedule
Oversee student’s requirements related to medical care,  intake and government assistance programs

Budgetary: Serve the Campus Manager to meet budgetary goals, participating in fundraising events.

Schedule: Be flexible with scheduling. Will be required to work evenings and weekends.

Decision making: Communicate decisions and suggested changes to the Campus Manager.

Leadership: Provide support and leadership to students, students families, volunteers and staff within the program.

Qualifications:

A Clear Vulnerable Sector Check
Possesses or is willing and able to obtain Ministry/Pastoral/Counselling credentials
Possesses strong organizational skills and highly effective written and verbal communication skills
Able to effectively minister and counsel students and their families
Willingness to learn and be teachable
Able to be an example to other staff in daily living
Actively demonstrate and maintain excellent working relationships with all program staff and all other departments
Working knowledge of computers systems and willingness to adapt to web-based programs and reporting
Strong understanding of the DNA of the ATC ministry
Ability to mentor and give advice to staff and leaders as necessary
Understanding of human nature and the physical and spiritual battles that they may face
Ability to defuse tense situations
Willing to take new assigned training, and live an example of a lifelong learner
Valid driver’s license
