Our store operations play a critical role in funding the rehabilitation program, making your work directly impactful on changing lives.
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly-motivated and reliable individual to fill the full-time dual role of Truck Driver/Warehouse Worker. This position is essential to the daily operations of the Super Thrift store, involving the safe collection and delivery of donated items, as well as the efficient organization and management of inventory within our warehouse. The successful candidate will be a vital part of our team, contributing to the smooth flow of donations that support our mission.
Key Responsibilities
Truck Driver Duties:
Operate and maintain a commercial truck safely and responsibly.
Travel local routes to pick up donated furniture, household goods, and other items from donor homes and businesses.
Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle and report any maintenance issues immediately.
Ensure all items are properly secured for transport to prevent damage.
Maintain accurate records of pickups, including donor receipts and route logs.
Represent Adult and Teen Challenge Super Thrift professionally and courteously to all donors.
Warehouse Worker Duties:
Load and unload the truck efficiently, utilizing equipment such as pallet jacks and hand trucks.
Sort, organize, and stock incoming donations in the warehouse.
Assess the condition of donated goods and assist in determining items suitable for sale.
Keep the warehouse clean, safe, and organized according to safety standards.
Assist in moving and displaying items on the store floor as needed.
Collaborate with store staff and program participants to manage inventory.
Qualifications and Requirements
Valid Driver’s License (specific class requirements may vary based on vehicle type).
1 year driving experience
Comfortable operating a 1 ton truck
Able to pull a trailer behind pickup truck
Clean driving record.
Proven experience as a truck driver, delivery driver, or in a similar role.
Prior experience in a warehouse or manual labor environment is preferred.
Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 75 lbs) repeatedly throughout the day.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
