Altadore Baptist Church is a small, increasingly diverse, city-centre church in Calgary, Alberta seeking a Lead Pastor.  We are an affirming community where all people, regardless of race, culture, sexuality or faith are wholeheartedly welcome.  As a congregationally led church, we are deeply committed to ministering alongside organizations in our neighbourhood and beyond, carrying forward a long-standing dedication to reflect God’s peace, justice and reconciling love. ·         Has a strong sense of family and pastoral ministry while supporting and encouraging us as we navigate the events of our daily lives.

·         Brings energy, flexibility, and discernment in meeting the evolving needs of our church.

·         Helps foster a vibrant, faith-filled community, creatively engaging in biblically-based ministry and outreach.

·         Works collaboratively with the Leadership Core, ensuring open and effective communication.

·         Addresses issues with integrity, courage and grace, and acknowledges both the opportunities and cautions within new understandings and differing perspectives.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Theological training (Seminary Degree preferred but not required).

·         Pastoral Ministry and Pastoral Care experience.

·         Staff Leadership experience.
