Salary Range: $60,000 – $96,000 per year (Dependent on certification and experience)

Position Summary:
The Elementary Student Support Coordinator serves as a key bridge between classroom teachers, EAs, and the Director of Student Support. This role focuses on case management, coordination of support for K–5 students with designations or learning needs, and the practical implementation of inclusive practices that foster independence and belonging.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Case Management and Team & Resource Coordination
● Manage a caseload of designated and non-designated students in the elementary division.
● Lead the program for social-emotional learning including dedicated small group time
● Lead the development, implementation, and review of IEPs and Safety Plans.
● Coordinate student support team meetings and ensure documentation compliance.
● Manages the program resources (eg. chairs, supplies, etc) for the K-5 program
2. Collaboration and Mentorship
● Support teachers in differentiating instruction and developing classroom-based supports.
● Provide leadership and coaching to EAs in effective strategies, professionalism, and data tracking.
● Liaise with principal to ensure consistent communication and program understandings
● Liaise with parents and specialists to ensure consistent communication and wraparound support.
3. Data and Documentation
● Maintain accurate student records and progress reports aligned with Ministry and SCSBC expectations.
● Oversee scheduling and deployment of EAs across classrooms to meet identified student needs.
4. Faith and Culture Leadership
● Promote MRCS’s faith-integrated approach to inclusive education.
● Model servant leadership and empathy consistent with a Biblical view of diversity and belonging.
Qualifications:
● BC Teaching Certificate
● Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field preferred
● Minimum 3 years of experience in inclusive education or case management
● Deep understanding of IEP development, UDL, and tiered support systems
● Proven leadership and organizational skills
● Active Christian faith and alignment with MRCS’s mission and values
