Pacific Academy is requesting applications from qualified individuals for a continuing Outdoor Education and Career Education teacher position in the High School. This position will start August 21, 2025.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates should:
• Hold a valid British Columbia teaching certificate
• Possess an understanding of and commitment to Christian Education
• Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith
• Be fluent in oral and written English
• Have an ability to teach English 10 and 11
• Be experienced in some or all of the following areas of instruction: canoeing (flat and moving water), hiking, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, backcountry travel, biking
• Hold suitable certifications related to outdoor education, or be willing to complete coursework within the year towards their attainment
• Have a willingness to attend all Summit trips, including monthly day trips, 8-10 multi-day backcountry trips, and 2-3 multi-day overseas trips
