Position Purpose: To advance the mission of Gaglardi Academy by working with K-12 students to inculcate the wonders of the triune God, teaching them to walk with Jesus, providing authentic experiences to mature their faith and engage in the Christian mission to go into all the world and make disciples.
Salary Range: $50,000-$57,000
FTE: .6 (3 days per week)
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Reporting Relationship: School Principal
Spiritual Life Functions and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Principals in fostering a school culture that encourages spiritual growth and maturity among faculty, staff, students, and parents.
- Coordinate the planning and oversight of the K-12 Bible curriculum, resources, and weekly chapel services.
- Develop opportunities for students’ intentional discipleship, such as small group meetings and mentoring programs, while assessing the student body’s spiritual growth throughout the school year.
- Assist the high school Principal in supporting student’s emotional well-being
- Plans, organizes and oversees annual student spiritual retreats.
- Develop a comprehensive community service and mission outreach plan for K-12 students.
- Coordinate and oversee weekly faculty devotions and provide other opportunities to foster the spiritual growth and development of staff.
- Promote the value of Christian scholarship to students, faculty, and families.
- Organize Spiritual Emphasis Week activities for K-12.
- Responsible for implementing and overseeing the Restorative Practice program throughout the school in collaboration with the Principal.
- Assist the principals in interviewing new staff members.
Related Experience:
- Leadership experience overseeing programming such as weekly worship, camps, or other outreach activities, preferably in a church or within a Christian educational environment.
- Programming experience that demonstrates the successful coordination of multiple constituencies, such as staff, parents, or others.
- Planning experience developing missions, curriculum, service projects or mission trips with examples of seeing them through to completion.
- Experience developing curriculum plans, service plans and missional trips, with examples of successful implementation.
- Demonstrated ability to execute discipleship programs for students, staff and families and evaluate their personal relationship with God.
- Experience with Biblical curriculum, pastoral messages, or other devotional presentations.
- Experience teaching biblical curriculum, pastoral messages or other devotional presentations.
- Counselling and training experience.

- Has spiritual maturity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities to work with children of various ages and stages of development.

Example First Year Goals and Objectives
- Inspire an atmosphere where students and staff experience a fire for Jesus through mission and service work.
Student and staff are maturing in their spiritual disciplines. - Review and evaluate current bible programs K-12 and recommend alternatives to inspire faith in students.
Develop transformational Chapel experiences involving students, guest speakers, various worship media, etc. - Develop at least one service opportunity involving elementary and secondary students in each grade by working directly with staff to brainstorm ideas, purpose and timing for service opportunities.
- Connect with individual students or groups regularly, ensuring every student can access the Director of Faith.
Students, staff, and parents can identify who the Director of Faith is and understand their role and purpose. - Communicate with all stakeholders about upcoming activities via email, social media or other appropriate means.
- Team with other faculty to inculcate a collegial relationship with all areas of the school, including academics, arts and athletics.
