In With and For the Neighbourhood
This staff role will:
- Seek to establish a ministry in conjunction with the needs of our neighbourhoods connecting specifically with children and families in our neighbourhoods and the church.
- Develop discipleship materials to help children grow in their faith and witness.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop a clear vision for reaching children (and families) in the wider community with the Neighbourhood Value Pastor
- Establish ministries and opportunities for our church to connect with children and families who live in our neighbourhoods.
- Equipping our church to love and serve children who live in our neighbourhoods.
- Build relationships with: local schools, community centres, sports organizations, and social service agencies as they pertain to serving children.
- Develop partnerships that allow the church to serve families meaningfully.
Develop discipleship materials for children in our church and neighbourhood. - Develop camps, clubs, events, seminars, and projects as we discern where God is at work in children in the neighbourhood.
- Oversee and develop teams in the church who will disciple children well.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a mature and growing relationship with Christ
- Experience working with children and families
- Have a heart for evangelism and discipleship of children
- Have good communication and team-building skills and experience
- Experience building partnerships
