In With and For the Neighbourhood
This part-time role (10 hours/week) oversees Edge Ministry (grade 5-7) and Amplify Ministry (grade 8-12) at The Neighbourhood Church.
Responsibilities include:
- Oversee and equip Edge and Amplify leadership teams as they help youth learn to love God with all their heart, mind and strength, and by loving neighbours and one another.
- Apprentice Edge and Amplify students as servant leaders through church ministry opportunities, SERVE, and other Leadership Training and retreats.
- Develop connections between youth and adults for mentoring and transitioning from youth ministry into Mission Group.
- Spearhead outreach to local youth by fostering a passion for youth to see their friends come to Christ, and through hosting events.
- Participate as a member of the Staff team, taking an active role in Sunday gatherings, retreats and duties as assigned by the Team Leader.
A candidate for this position should
- love preteens and teens and have a passion for their spiritual development as crucial members within the Body of Christ.
have strong administrative, communications and leadership skills. - be both confident in their understanding of God’s Word and humble in their willingness to listen, learn and ask questions.
- have experience in youth discipleship.
Pay will be determined in discussion with the candidate, based on experience.
