Abundance Canada is a public foundation that offers donor-advised funds (DAF). Since 1974, the organization has helped people to support the causes they care about through a DAF model called a Generosity Plan™.

A Generosity Plan is a strategic and flexible approach to charitable giving and a unique roadmap of how to achieve your philanthropic goals. Your Generosity Plan maps out the best options for giving today, tomorrow, and well into the future, while giving you the flexibility to adapt to your changing circumstances and explore new opportunities along the way.

Donating assets such as publicly traded securities, or cash proceeds from the sale of a business or property, may provide tax-saving benefits and allows you to give substantially to your favourite charity. With an Abundance Canada Generosity Plan, your funds are added to a Gifting Fund™ where the organization applies its socially responsible investment policy. You then recommend the charity you wish to support, how much to give, and when funds are to be disbursed. Furthermore, if required, we can provide anonymity of your charitable gift.

As a charitable foundation, Abundance Canada has no minimum requirements to set up a Generosity Plan. In 2021, the foundation receipted $66 million in donations and on behalf of clients, donated $39.9 million to 1,918 charities across Canada. This is a 18.37% distribution quota of assets under management.
