The Firs

The various camps and programs of The Firs have faithfully served the Pacific Northwest for 100 years. Today, The Firs is comprised of five ministry centers at three geographical sites. Our desire is to provide the space for people to “encounter Jesus and experience the love of God.”

If you are planning a retreat for your group, we would love to explore the options that are available to you at one of our three rental facilities.

The Firs Retreat Center offers a beautiful, 8.5-acre campus set among fir and cedar trees, just 3 blocks from Lake Whatcom and our private beach. We offer a variety of accommodations, dorm style or cabins, for groups of 25-220. Our Dining Room provides delicious meals and great service during your stay. You can also take advantage of our sports court and waterfront areas, as well as other recreation amenities.

The Firs Chalet is located in the spectacular North Cascades National Forest, .3 miles from the Mt. Baker Ski Area. The Chalet provides breathtaking views from all sides and an opportunity to experience an alpine setting like no other. Our hosting team will be there to serve you throughout your stay, while our food service department takes care of all the meals. Our hope is to provide the space for you to allow your group to experience a week or weekend away like no other. The Chalet houses 40 to 95 guests in dormitory style rooms. The dining and meeting area is spacious with comfortable couches and chairs and is centered on the middle floor of the Chalet, allowing plenty of space for groups to gather with the spectacular floor-to-ceiling view of Mt. Shuksan as the backdrop.

Camp Firwood offers a unique experience for groups looking for a fun and adventurous day away. Whether it is team building or just a day to relax, explore the fun you can have on this beautiful campus located on the shores of Lake Whatcom.
