Reflections on the Election: Kingdom Practices and Prayer

EFC PRESENTATION AND PRAYER: Zoom Gathering, Thursday, April 10, 2025, 11:00 a.m. Eastern Time

Canada’s federal election has been called for April 28. Every election is significant, but this feels especially so in these turbulent times. The polarizing perspectives and heated vitriol offer an opportunity for Christians to embody “the Jesus way” to engage our culture. We invite EFC affiliates across Canada to join us on April 10. We will provide reflections on the election with kingdom practices and prayer. We will offer some thoughtful, non-partisan, biblical reflections and answers to questions many of us, as Christians, are asking: 1) What can charities and churches do and not do in an election period? 2) Why and how should we engage in this election as Jesus followers? 3) How might we offer Kingdom prayer for this election?

Three of our senior EFC staff will address these questions, followed by a time of Kingdom prayer with designated Christian leaders, followed by prayer in breakout rooms. Please review and widely distribute our Election 2025 Resource Hub. You and your colleagues are invited to participate in a one-hour Zoom Presentation and Prayer gathering for all EFC affiliates on Thursday, April 10, 2025 (8 a.m. Pacific / 9 a.m. Mountain / 10 a.m. Central / 11:00 a.m. Eastern / Noon Atlantic / 12:30 p.m. NL).
