What is the Mighty Man M5 Network

September 20, 2024 by Neil Campbell Leave a Comment

Mighty Man Network Join

In today’s rapidly changing world there are two critical questions that emerge for the Christian community. What are men doing to disciple the next generation to be followers of Jesus with a biblical worldview? And equally as important, what is the church doing to equip these men to fulfill their mission? These questions strike at the heart of the church’s responsibility to ensure that future generations not only hold to the faith but are also equipped to lead with conviction and clarity in an increasingly complex society.  The answers to these questions will determine the spiritual legacy we leave behind and whether it will be one of strength, resilience, and unwavering commitment to the teachings of Christ.

A blueprint to disciple men

Visionvest post ad

The Mighty Man Network has developed a blueprint to help you build a men’s ministry that is effective in discipling the men in your church and equipping them to be the spiritual leader in their home. To the reader, the Mighty Man Network is not a self-promotion of this ministry, or does it even suggest that it has all the answers. It is merely a framework or a blueprint to start churches to walk on a journey with men to discipleship and to a place where they fulfill their mission to equip men to disciple their family to be followers of Jesus.

We believe that by implementing these practical steps, you can start to build a Men’s Ministry that addresses the unique challenges faced by men today.

The Mighty Man Network recognizes the critical need to disciple men and equip churches to build healthy men’s ministries. In response to this need, we are actively developing a comprehensive blueprint. This blueprint is a tool designed to both disciple men and empower them to effectively disciple their children. This initiative involves creating structured resources, including M-5 Groups, discipleship models, and targeted monthly missions. The aim is to provide pastors and leaders with practical guidance, fostering an intentional and supportive environment for men within the church. Through this strategic approach, the Mighty Man Network seeks to strengthen men spiritually, emotionally, and relationally – enabling them to fulfill their roles as spiritual leaders in their families and communities.

Mission

The mission of the Mighty Man network is to equip men to disciple their families. Our definition of discipleship is to teach them the word of God, train them how to live a biblical lifestyle, and bless their identity, gender, and destiny with words of affirmation and blessing.

The Mighty Man discipleship training aims to empower men through mentoring, providing them with the tools, knowledge, and spiritual foundation needed to effectively disciple their families. This involves ‘doing life together’ with personal growth and focusing on leadership within the family unit. This training aims to instill values, principles, and practical skills that enable men to lead, guide, and bless their families in a way that aligns with the teachings of the Word of God. Ultimately, the goal is to create a positive ripple effect as these men are equipped with strengthened faith and leadership capabilities they become active and influential disciples within their own family.

Vision

Our vision is to build a network to support men in their mission to disciple their families. Discipleship is not a single-person event. God designed that men would live in a community where they can sharpen each other (Proverbs 27:17) in their faith and family.

M-5 discipleship groups

To facilitate an atmosphere for spiritual growth and discipleship, men are asked to form an M-5 Group with four other men with whom they will do life as a band of brothers. An M-5 group is not a bible study or an affinity group. It is an environment where men can get together once a week for one hour and do four simple things to help them grow as disciples of Christ. They can gather in person or on online to share life, connect at a heart level, share scripture, and pray for each other.

Share Life

A Mighty Man M-5 Group engages in weekly one-hour sessions where members share life experiences, taking 10-15 minutes each to discuss personal, marital, work, and family matters.

Connect

Connect at a heart level with the other men in your group. The focus is on connecting on a deep, heart level by discussing spiritual, emotional, and physical aspects of life. Supporting each other and encouraging each other in every aspect of life.

Share Scripture

The men share scriptures that have impacted them and offer encouragement to their fellow group members. Each M-5 group is encouraged to join a one-year You Version Bible, where they share their insights using a simple process called S.O.A.P. (Highlight a Scripture, Observe the context of the story, Application- write out a short application followed by a short Prayer.)

Warfare prayer

The group dedicates time to praying for one another, using God’s Word to decree and declare blessings over each man. The first step to warfare prayer is to put on the full armour of God found in Ephesians 6. Taking the time to align with God’s will, “This is the confidence we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to his will, he hears us.” 1 John 5:14.

In the mighty man network, there needs to be a leader in every M-5 group. There are five men in a group, with one facilitating the weekly meeting to ensure everyone is pulled into the conversation and prayer time. The leader (the 5th man) is then connected to the Mighty Man’s monthly leadership training. This a time for men to connect with other leaders online and grow the MM Network across other churches.

Summary

The Mighty Man Network is a comprehensive initiative designed to equip and empower men within the church. It offers various resources and events, including Basic Training with a 4-week Mighty Man Huddle Group, a Mighty Man Workshop focusing on lessons from David, and a Mighty Man Retreat that provides opportunities for spiritual growth. The network aims to address the needs and requests of pastors and men by offering training materials, retreats, breakfasts, and camps to help men encounter God and strengthen their relationship with Him. The overarching goal is to support men in their journey of discipleship, leadership, and spiritual development.
